SimpleDate is a singles event company that caters to the Toronto and GTA single-set. Hosting Speed Dates, Dinner Parties, Coffee Events, and Socials in Toronto and the surrounding area.

With so many "Speed Dating" and "Personal Introduction Services" out there, why choose SimpleDate?
Toronto is a big city, make sure that you are getting connected with the right people. SimpleDate offers Speed Dating events in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Woodbridge and will soon be heading north to Barrie. So wonder what sets us apart from everyone else?SimpleDate Speed Date Events are NO ADVANCE CHARGE! There is a cover charge to enter the venue, but you will not have to enter any credit card information on line when you register. Participants do need to reserve a spot online by clicking on "Sign Me Up," so that we can keep our male/female ratio even and have a package ready for you at the event. If you need to cancel we just ask that you let us know in advance as we always have a waiting list of people who would be more than happy to take your spot.
You will notice that all SimpleDate events are a very low cost, if you come out to a SimpleDate event, you will find it to be a relaxed fun way to meet other singles. Whether you are looking to speed date in Toronto/GTA or in Victoria, BC, we offer one great party.
Worried that you only get what you pay for? Give us a try and you will see we are as well organized, some even say better than any of our competitors. We often run events with several age groups dating consecutively. Even though you will only be dating people in your age group, you will have the opportunity to mingle with everyone afterwards. And who knows, there may be someone one or two years outside of your age group that you never would have met if we didn't run many groups at once.
SimpleDate also believes that the more people you meet the better chance you will meet someone you like. Depending on the event,SimpleDate events have between 30-100 people at most of our events. You will participate in 15 to 20 (depending on the event) 5 minute dates, but there is quite a party afterwards, so many people stay for drinks, dancing and mingling. Wondering what type of people you will meet if the events are such a low cost? Well many people have said the quality of people is better than what most other speed date events have to offer. Toronto Life Magazine rated SimpleDate as having “the most intriguing prospects…..” out of all the Toronto Speed Date services rated in 2003. If you have considered attending any other Speed Date Services, I'm sure the thought has crossed your mind....."Do I really need to spend $50 to meet people?" You will find that a SimpleDate crowd is just that, people who don't need to spend $50 to meet people. Not sure you can handle 20 dates one after the other for about an hour and a half? So how does Speed Dating actually work?
All participants will reserve a spot online in advance. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with the details for the event. (If you are using hotmail make sure this doesn't’t end up in your junk mail box!) The night of the event show up at the venue at the registration time, remember to bring a print out of your confirmation and a pen. The SimpleDate hosts will register you for the event, giving you a lovely little name tag (don’t worry everyone is wearing one,) and a reply card. You can then mingle a bit before the event starts while we register everyone. You will notice that all of the tables are numbered. The women will take a seat and the men will rotate, moving up in numerical order. (This is very easy we even put arrows on the table so you know where to go!) You will take a seat with your first date, chat it up for 5 minutes, then you will hear a somewhat annoying blast of a whistle indicating it is time for the men to move to the next table. Here’s a tip, to make this process easy, the first thing you should do every time you sit down with a date is fill in their name & ID # on your reply card……there isn’t really time to do this once the whistle blows.
Depending on the event you will rotate around the room anywhere from 15 to 20 times in Toronto and 10 to 15 times in Victoria, each date lasting 5 minutes. (Don’t worry we give you a break half way through!) At the end of the evening you have a very neatly filled in reply card, that has the names & ID #’s of your dates and then a clear “yes” or “no” checked. We will collect all the reply cards and about 48 hours later you will get an email from us will your mutual matches. (Meaning you picked them, they picked you.) All matches must be mutual – participants are only given your first name and email address, (phone number only if you have asked it be given out,) from there things are up to you.
SimpleDate encourages all participants to stay and mingle once the speed dating is over. There will be several people you won't have a chance to date during the speed date, so why not hang out for a bit and meet some of them! Remember everyone is here for the same reason - they are looking to meet new people, so don't be shy everyone is very approachable.
SimpleDate speed dates can last (from the beginning of registration to the collection of the reply cards, this includes a break part way through as well,) anywhere from just over 2 hours (if it is a 15 date event,) to just under 3 hours if it is a 20 date event. Please plan to stay the duration, it is not fair to your next potential date if you just get up and leave before the event is finished.

Dinner Parties |
Dinner Parties are set up in trendy restaurants for 8 men and 8 women of the events specified age group. Often we will run more than one group, based on enrolment. Dinner Party events generally start a bit earlier than our average speed date. There is no advance payment required for Dinner Parties. All participants must pay the $30 cover charge, but from there they will open a tab with their server and order from the menu as they choose. Dinner Parties will consist of a three course meal & four rounds of dating. Participants will sit with a group of 2 men/2 women for their pre-dinner drinks, the men will rotate when indicated by the event host, moving to a new table of 2 men/2 women for appetizers, moving to a different table for the main course, and once again to a new group for dessert and coffee. Throughout the evening you will have the chance to meet 8 new dates. There is no set time for each course, so you may find that some rotations last a bit longer than other, but we do our best to keep them within a similar time frame. You can expect a Dinner Party Event to last about 3.5 hours, from the time of registration to the time you hand your cards in. With no pre-determined menu you are free to eat and spend as much or little as you want on your individual meal. At the end of the evening participants will fill in their reply cards indicating a “yes” to those that they are interested in making contact with again. All matches must be mutual. (Meaning you picked them, they picked you.) Participants are only given your first name and email address, (phone number only if you have asked it be given out,) from there things are up to you to contact your matches. All match information will be forwarded via email within 48 hours of the event.

Let's do Coffee! |
Let's do Coffeeis an all new weekend event for SimpleDate! Due to the demand from our clients, we will now be holding smaller, speed date events on Sunday afternoon's in a variety of age groups. Let's do Coffee will offer participants 12-5 minute dates, over a late afternoon coffee. The event will also offer complimentary coffee/tea and snacks to participants.
