BE POSITIVE
Nothing attracts others more than someone with a positive attitude. Come with the right attitude! Attitude is everything, come out to enjoy yourself, this is supposed to be a fun night out.
MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS
Don't let your friends decide who you date. You are a grown-up now; the only person you really have to answer to is yourself. So, if you like someone and enjoy your "mini" date with them, don't let others opinions of your choice bother you.
DON'T SIT BESIDE YOUR FRIENDS!
It's great that you have brought some moral support out for your night of Speed Dating, but keep in mind if you sit beside your friends you will date all the same people! Spread out a bit, then you won't end up with the same matches.
NOT EVERY MATCH HAS TO BE A "LOVE" MATCH
Not everyone you mark 'yes' to has to be a potential romantic interest. You may choose to mark 'yes' to some people you would like to pursue a friendship with. So if someone is a 'maybe' or 'just a friend' mark 'yes.' What you choose to do after the event is totally up to you.

SOME DO'S AND DON'T'S......

DON'T - ask your date how old they are. Although you may want to know, this is not really good dating etiquette, (especially in the first 5 minutes!)
DON"T - smoke! We try to keep our Speed Dates a "smoke free" environment out of respect for those that do not smoke.
DON'T - have the same conversation over and over again. The night will go on forever if you don't mix it up a bit.
DO - remember to listen as well as ask questions during your date. No one likes someone who does all the talking or someone who has nothing to say.
DO - remember your manners. Gentlemen it is a good idea to get up when your date is leaving the table.
DO - remember to drink a lot, whether it is water or something stronger. An hour and a half of non-stop conversation is harder on the throat than you might think. You will probably wake up with a sore throat the next morning if you don't always have a beverage on hand.
